About our project
Wind orchestra Krško in cartoons is a project we are working ever since our concert in 2013 - Wind orchestra Krško in movies.
The premier will be on November 28th 2015, in Cultural Home Krško. There will be also additional concerts for Elementary Schools.
MAGICAL WORLD
Cartoons brings out a child in ourselves. That is why we have decided to create a magical world, that will be in a hall of Cultural Home Krško. As a visitor you will walk from land of snow all the way to a desert. Snowflakes will dance, dwarfs will come to see us and maybe some famous people from cartoons will come as well.
CONCERT
Can you imagine a cartoon without music? Your answer is probably no.
Alan Menken is highly pronaunced composer that has been working with Disney for years. He is the one that has written music for Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and many more. Than we know Elton John that wrote some of the music in he Lion King. And we all know Frozen and its Let it go.
And now we have an orchestra as ours. We can play all that music, but without any visualition. Will your experience be the same?
We want to make this concert memorable for all of us! There will be music with some special effects that will bring a smile on your face and you will remember this for quite some time!
Conductor: DEJAN ŽNIDERŠIČ
began his career as a euphonium player in class of Drago Gradišek and after two years changed his instrument to trombone.With Franci Arhs mentorship he passed the entrance test to Music and Balet High School in Ljubljana.
In 1998, when his education at High School was over, his passed the audition as a trombonist at National Police Orchestra where he worked for one year. Also in 1998 he received golden plaquette at National Competition for young musicians with Trombone Quartet and a year later he received another golden plaquette as a soloist. While he was servicing military, he decided to stay there but as a musician in Military Orchestra.
For years he wanted to become a conductor. In September 2002 he was asked to work with Wind Orchestra Krško for a few months for their participation on Bojan Adamič 90th birthday event in Velenje. Later on, in March 2004, he became an official conductor of Wind Orchestra Krško.
